I started off loving this book. It picks right back up where book 2 left off. It flowed beautifully. There is a BIG reveal in this story. It was so shocking. I did not see it coming. The book could have ended at this point and it would have been a 5 star read for me. Unfortunately it kept going. It was like watching a train wreck from that point on. Slowly the stars start falling off until it comes to a horrible end. This writer is amazing at twists and cliffhangers! Endings - Not so much. The way she attempted to wrap up the story ruined this series for me. She tried to put pink bows on everything so that everyone could have an HEA. Will giving away Lauren after what he did? BS. Willa as their flower girl? BS. Inviting Lisa the Skank to their wedding? BS. I was so mad that this great story got this cheesy crap ending. My favorite series is no more.Product details

Wow!!!! Did not see any of this coming!!! Read all 4 books in the series in a matter of a few days because I absolutely could not stop!!! Talk about one crazy ride!!! This series is amazing!!! One of my favorites that's forsure!!! Highly recommend!! I won't give any spoilers because I don't want to ruin it for anyone!! But seriously GO READ THIS SERIES!!! Well worth it!!! Good Job Portia!!! I'm in love!!!
I read the entire series in 2 days. I love them all. They are mysterious, intriguing, and attention grabbing. I love that Portia Moore is able to shock the pants off me.
There are many shocking twists in this conclusion. Jaw dropping, mouth hanging open, fly drawing shocks; total "I didn't see that coming" moments. I love this!
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 like the rest of the series for two reasons. First, the uncovering of lies is ridiculously long. I felt this plot line was getting over drawn in the second book. The other reason is the introduction of Collin. I felt it was way to late, which in turn made it not fit in the story at all. It was random, useless, and better left out completely.
I still would recommend the entire series to any one who is interested in out-of-the-box romance stories.
This is for nook # 4She fulfills that dream of not having the book end if you don't want it to with this book. I like that she allows the book to end nicely if your want after the previous book. I didn't expect to like this book but I really do. Its not a stretch as it reveals new info.I read other books that stretch it & get boring. Thats not this writer at all. What a talented writer. She held my interest all the way.
When I first read, "If I Break" and realized it was to become part of a series, I knew I would follow through and read every book. I definitely enjoyed getting to know the characters more and seeing how their lives were as the multiple identities began to fight with each other less, especially in the later part of the book.
It was good to learn what caused Chris to develop D.I.D. - to learn about the major event which changed his life forever. It made me wonder how I would react in such a situation - about the level of upset and betrayal I might feel.
As with the previous books, the character development was great and pace was comfortable but, whereas the previous books had me wondering what would might happen, this book made me feel hopeful that Lauren and Chris/Cal would pull it off.
I want to start with what an amazing concept I thought the book was. The imagination and story line was great but it fell a little short for me. I agree with another reviewer in that it felt rushed. there were way more editing errors, wrong words here and there and the formatting was off, different fonts throughout the book that was a bit distracting. besides that I felt like the book was drawn out in the first 60%. I also felt like it could have been done well in two books and not four. There is a lot of re-telling of the story and events, and then a lot of talking about how horrible everything is over and over. The meat doesn't happen until the end and then its overload. There's so much that happens it makes it very unbelievable. Toward then end i felt like I was in a Jerry springier episode. But huge points for the author for concept and thinking outside of the box.
This series has lived up to its expertise in the mind blowing, shocking, hold your breath, whAt the he'll did I just read department. I cannot praise Portia Moore enough for this book series. This is the 1st series I've ever read that honestly shocked me to my core. Many twists and turns that you will never see coming. From book 1 to book 3 it is never a dull moment. Just when you think it's all about to level out and go one direction - BAM!!!!!!! - sucker punched. I've cried, laughed, got mad, and absolutely enamoured by this story. I have and will HIGHLY recommend this series to every reader I know. It will be your most favorite series ever. I promise you that. Bravo Ms. Portia. You are an amazing story teller. Thank you for setting the best example of how to write a Damn good story. I'd give it 100 stars if I could. Very sad it's ended but I know she will deliver again 😀
I got hooked on this story and could not put it down in spite of the frustration of the many characters to keep track of.I did go as far as the third book because in spite of it, it is a beautiful love story and the storyline is very captivating
